Dried Figs in Syrup recipe

Ingredients:

1 cup of dried whole figs.
½ cup of water.
½ teaspoon of ground cinnamon.
1 tablespoon of brown sugar.
1 teaspoon of natural vanilla extract.
1 orange, zested and juiced.

Preparation Instructions:

Mix the water, orange juice, orange zest, cinnamon, brown sugar and vanilla in a small saucepan.

Place over medium heat on the hob.

Add the figs and cook until reconstituted - usually about 10 minutes.
